Who We Are
Not Just Keys is a Yateley based UK Locksmith Company and is owned and operated by a fully qualified and experienced Sole Trader.
Not Just Keys Services
All work carried out will be undertaken by Not Just Keys Locksmiths as per the request of you and by doing so, you and Not Just Keys will enter into a contract. Payment is required to be made by you to Not Just Keys for all work undertaken and for parts and materials used and fitted and any failure to do so will render you in breach of contract.
Where possible, in the event that a system/lock is obsolete, we will endeavor to provide a system/lock as close to the old one as possible or provide you with alternatives.
Not Just Keys cannot be held responsible for the stock availability of suppliers and for any delays caused in waiting for parts to be delivered. However, we will ‘make safe’ until your preferred option becomes available or at our own recommendation, we will attempt to provide and install a different system/lock as close to the old one as possible. Not Just Keys cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or stress caused by choosing to go against any security advice given to you.
Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure in performing its obligations or duties under this agreement which results from circumstances outside his reasonable control including but not limited to acts of God, industrial action, war, fire, threat of terrorism, civil disturbance or rioting, government or regulatory action, breakdown in plant or machinery or shortage of raw materials or supplies.
Customer Cancellation Rights
Booking a call out and canceling 1hr prior to arrival is not chargeable. If canceling within the hour of agreed time of arrival and Not Just Keys has already incurred mileage traveling to you on your request, you are liable to cover mileage charges.
Should you wish to cancel whilst waiting for new parts to arrive for work agreed already by you, you may incur costs for parts already ordered and are also obligated to pay for any outstanding work already incurred.
Chargeable work and quotes
There is no call out fee for work, or for providing home security surveys or quotes and there is no obligation to go ahead with work. Once work has been booked by you, your rights regarding cancellations can be read above.
On carrying out work, Not Just Keys will always agree on costs with you up front before commencing any work. This is payable on satisfactory completion of the work. If you require additional parts that must be ordered, Not Just Keys will aim to re-fit these within 7 days but will always ensure your property is made ‘safe’ until return. On return, a final payment for a return visit, parts, labour and any previous costs incurred from initial call out are now deemed payable.
All work carried out by Not Just Keys is guaranteed for 1 year from date of invoice. All parts are guaranteed for 1 year from date of invoice.
Not Just Keys charge for services by the hour with a minimum of 1 hour. All parts and materials supplied and fitted are charged at a separate rate and included in the total cost, which will be detailed on the invoice.
All work undertaken, including parts and materials supplied and fitted must be paid for within 7 days of work completed for non-commercial/ residential clients or 28 days for commercial/ industry clients.
After this period if you have not settled your invoice in full, you will be in breach of the contract and proceedings will be started to collect the outstanding balance and/or materials/parts used and interest at 1% above Bank of England base rate, on any payments which are not settled. In addition, Not Just Keys reserves the right to add additional costs and expenses as may incur in recovering payment from you where you fail to make payment in accordance with these terms and conditions.
The contract price is set out in the quotation which includes details of the charges which Not Just Keys will make for time/labour, materials and parts as well as any taxes or additional costs or expenses. Costs will clearly be shown on the invoice along with any additional costs that may have been incurred since the original quote, but with which you agreed to the amendment in writing.
The intervals at which Not Just Keys may invoice you in respect of the whole or in part of the contract price are set out in the quote.
Not Just Keys may provide two types of quote depending on your requirement and the job in question.
1. Verbal Quote – This is where Not Just Keys view the job required and give you an immediate verbal quote for completing the job. If you agree verbally for the work to go-ahead, you are agreeing to pay for the costs agreed. e.g. You are locked out. We agree on a quote with you verbally for gaining entry to your home and then this is payable on successful competition of the job.
2. Written Quote – which will detail all parts and materials to be supplied and fitted as well as labour and any associated call out fees.
The quote from Not Just Keys will show where these terms and conditions can be found e.g., the website and where a contract is entered into between Not Just Keys and yourself, then you will be deemed to have accepted the content of the quotation in full.
Services delivered & Time Frame
Not Just Keys will provide such services to you as set out in the quote. The services will be provided to you within the timeframe specified in the quote.
Wherever possible, Not Just Keys will meet timelines or dates as agreed with yourself. On occasions where the appointment cannot be upheld due to circumstances beyond Not Just Keys control, we will telephone you and keep you up to date of any time changes.
Time frames and dates of delivery of parts and materials and services/fittings are provided for guidance only and Not Just Keys makes no guarantee that the services will be performed within the specified period and the Supplier shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you as a result of the delivery of services being delayed or postponed for any reason.
Making a Complaint
In the event that you have a genuine grievance or find a defect with work, Not Just Keys will endeavour to investigate any fault within 48 hours* and should the fault be found to be due to a faulty part or workmanship, Not Just Keys will rectify at no cost to you. All parts and workmanship are guaranteed for 1 year. Any other type of complaint will be investigated within 14 working days*.
